let 5 consecutive no's be x,x+1,x+2,x+3,x+4

90 = x+ x+1+x+2+ x+3+x+4
90 = 5x+10

18 = x+2
x= 16

so smallest is 16
greatest = 16+4 = 20

sum = 16 +20 = 36
