60. For the reaction N2(g) + 3H2(g) 2NH3(g) in a
vessel, after the addition of equal number of moles of N2
and H2 equilibrium state is achieved. Which of the
following is correct?
(a) [H2 ]=[N21
(b) [H2]<[N2]
(c) [H2]>[N2]
(d) [H2]>[NH3]
Please give the explanation too, thanks

Answer:

h2<N2

Explanation:

                                         N2 + 3H2---> 2Nh3

Initial concentration -       x       3x          -

At equilibrium-                a-x     a-3x       2x

it is seen clearly that @ equilibrium we are removing 3x amount of h2 from 'a' amount of h2 and we are just removing x amount of n2 from 'a' amount of n2

Therefore, concentration of n2 will be more that h2 at equilibrium.

(a= amt/moles of h2 and n2 added into the vessel)

(x= moles reacted)

BangtanBorahae: Thank you!
