The total work 60x36 = 2160 man-days.

1/6th of it is done.

5/6 is remaining.

Work remaining = (5*2160)/6 = 1800 man-days.

people who left = 15

people who remain for work = 45 .

Days to complete the remaining work = 1800/45 = 40 days.

Today days = 40+6 = 46.

Note: Please note that I’ve assumed that all the people will work equally and contribute to the team. From my experience , this is not necessarily the case.

I was in a Team of 30 members where 12 members actually worked and the other 18 members didn’t. They would come, sit, while away their time, sleep in a sedentary position , and then leave.Having said that, the other 12 would work harder / more time and compensate for these 18. Technically, the answer is still valid.
