i think
Yes there is a type of acceleration produced by elctrons when travelling through conductors bcoz
we know that since the conductors have free electrons they conduct electricity
so more free electrons, more acceleration and more conductivity
and less electrons, low acceleration and low conductivity
i hope it helped u

electrons want to be evened out (more accurately is to say that they repel each other). if you pile a bunch of them up in one place, and have an absence of them near to it, they will really really "want" to move to the empty place. the bigger the difference between the presence of them in one spot, and the absence of them in the other, the more they will "want" to move. the "wanting to move" is the voltage (as others said, pressure). if this "wanting to move" gets strong enough, the charge can travel through something it would normally not be able to, like a lightning bolt through the air. –
