Answer:

Minimum time required is 1minutes

Explanation:

Given that,

A rectangular park of length and width 12m and 5m respectively.

Here, at one point an ambulance is there and there is an hospital at its opposite end forming a diagonal of the park.

Calculating the diagonal by pythagoras theorem :-

⇒ (diagonal)² = (length)² + (width)²

⇒ (diagonal)² = (12)² + (5)²

⇒ (diagonal)² = 144 + 25

⇒ (diagonal)² = 169

⇒ diagonal = √169

⇒ diagonal = 13m

Therefore the ambulance needs to cover 13m.

Speed of the ambulance given is 1m/min

Time taken by the ambulance to reach the hospital is

= Distance/Speed

= 13/1

= 13

Time required is 13minutes
