Answer:

60g of a saturated solution of KCl at 20 degree Celsius when evaporated to dryness leaves a solid residue of 15.2g.Calculate the solubility of KCl at 20 degree Celsius

Solution:-

60g of a saturated solution of KCl

Temperature = 20°

Solid residue = 15.2g

Temperature = 20°C

The mass of solute is 15.2 g

The mass of solution is 60gm

Solubility is mass of solute / mass of solution

Hence solubility = 15.2/60

Solubility is 0.25 g
