60g of mg reacts with 60g of O2 to yield MgO.
2Mg+02=2MgO
1) what is the limiting reactant?
2) calculate the maximum amount of mgO that can be formed.
3) calculate the amount of one of the reactant which remains unreacted.

Atomic mass of Mg = 24.30 u,

Atomic mass of O = 16 u,

Molecular mass of O2 = 32 u.

Mass of reactant = Mass of product

60g of mg + 60g of O2 = 120g of MgO.
