Now we know that when two different elements combine separately with a fixed mass of a third element, the proportion they combine with one another will be either in same ratio or some multiple of it.

Ratio of mass of A and B = 61.8 : 80 = 30.9 : 40

Ratio of mass of C and B2 = 35.5 : 2 x 6.6 = 35.5 : 13.2

Ratio of mass of A and C = 30.9 : 106.5

Now according to ratio of masses of  C and B is 106.5 : 40 which is equal to 35.5 : 13.2.

So law of reciprocal proportion holds good.
