Correct Question:

How many Carbon atoms are present in 180 g of glucose.

a. 6 × 10^22

b. 3.6 × 10^23

c. 6 × 10^23

d. 3.6 × 10^24

Answer:-

Molar mass of Glucose = 180 g/mol.

[∵ Unified mass of Glucose = 180 u. ]

We Know,

  • No. of molecules/particles in a mole = 6.022 × 10^23 molecules/particles.
  • No. of Carbon atoms in a single molecule of Glucose = 6

∴ Total number of Carbon atoms in single mole of Glucose :-

              = 6 × 6.022 × 10^23 atoms

              = 36.132 × 10^23 atoms

              = 3.6132 × 10^24 atoms

              ≈ 3.6 × 10^24 atoms (Approx.)

∴ (d) ☑ 3.6 × 10^24.
