Solution:
Cost price per kg of coffee = x

earns a 10% profit Coffee and Chicory are mixed in the ratio of 3: 2
=> cost price = 3x + 2y
sell price = 5 * 40 = 200

=> (3x + 2y) 1.1 = 200
if he mixes Coffee and Chicory in the ratio is 2:3, then he earns a profit of only 5%

=> (2x + 3y) 1.05 = 200
(3x + 2y) 1.1 = (2x + 3y) 1.05
=> (3x + 2y) 22 = (2x + 3y) 21
=> 66x + 44y = 42x + 63y
=> 24x = 19y
=> x / y = 19/24
Ratio of cost prices, per kg, of Coffee and Chicory = 19 : 24
