Free sample essay on Orderliness and Cleanliness. Indians as a race are somewhat negligent in the matter of clean environment. Despite repeated advice by the Government and the social welfare organisations we do not care to keep our home and our environment clean and in order.
Outside our home in a corner rubbish and unwanted materials are thrown by the residents of our street, and dogs, crows, buffaloes and pigs, crowd around the rubbish and eat whatever they can from it. Crows and other birds peck at any eatable in it and it is a disgusting sight.
Sometimes foul smell emanates from the rubbish. Residents in some suburbs complain that the municipal and corporation Lorries dump the refuse they collect from various places in a site near their houses. The stench that emanates from the dump is intolerable and the dump may be the cause of some diseases. The complaint of the public goes unheeded by the authorities. It is also said that the drainage water collected from various houses by the sewage Lorries are let out in an open ground and the water smells terribly bad and it may be the cause of some diseases.
Many countries devote much attention to the upkeep of the roads. It is said that in the USA, Britain, Australia and other developed countries the Government is keen in keeping the roads clean. In Singapore anyone who drops something on the road and makes it unclean is said to be fined by the authorities. In foreign countries outside every house there is a small garden of flowers and trees. There is no rubbish outside any house. The roads are clean and even and driving is quite smooth.
Vehicles are driven through different lanes at a particular speed. Here in India vehicles overtake one another, cross one another causing confusion to the drivers, who are easily involved in accidents. Sometimes there is little space for vehicles driven on the road as on both sides of the road all types of vehicles are parked.
