Chargaff's rule states that every cell should contain 1:1 ratio of purine and pyrimidine bases.

Purines are adenine and guanine and pyrimidines are thymine and cytosine.

Now adenine will be equal to thymine in number and guanine will be equal to cytosine in number.

Since thymine are 2160, adenine will also be 2160.

So total will be - 4320.

Remaining bases will be - 6200-4320 = 1880

Guanine and cytosine total are 1880.

So guanine and cytosine seperately will be - 1880/2

= 940.

Hence, number of guanine bases in given strand is 940.
