According to the to the question,

a+b=17 & a-b=7

Adding the above equations,

2a = 24

=>a=12 unit

Therefore, b =5 unit

If these two vectors are at a right angle to each other, the magnitude of their resultant is -

=√(5²+12²) unit

=√169 unit

=13 unit
