( 633 + 377 ) + 987 = 633 + (377 + 987 )

Solving the brackets,

==> 1010 + 987 = 633 + 1364

==> 1997 = 1997

So we can see that we can add the numbers in any order we would get the same result. Such a property is called associative property which works for addition here.  

i.e., (a+b) + c = a + (b+c) = b + (a+c)
