  • 65% of the 18500 people who went to a rugby match were males. How many females went? Show your working.

\huge{\pink{\mathfrak {Solution:-}}}

\underline{\bold {Given :}}

  • Total number of people = 18500
  • Percentage of males =65%

\underline{\bold {To\:Find :}}

  • The number of females.

\sf {Total \:number \:of \:people = 18500}

\sf {Percentage \:of \:males = 65\%}

 \implies Number \: of \: males = 18500 \times \frac{65}{100}  \\  \\  \implies Number \: of \: males = 185 \times 65 \\ \\ \implies Number \: of \: males =  12025

To Find number of females we have to subtract Number of males from total number of people :

 \implies Number \: of \: females =18500 - 12025\\  \\ \implies Number \: of \: females  = 6475

\green {\tt {\therefore {The\:number\:of\:females\:is\:6475.}}}

\rule {307}{2}
