Given :

  • Ram starts his Bike from rest and moves along a straight line
  • Attains a speed of 72 km/h in 10 seconds

To Find :

  • We have to find the acceleration of the Bike

Concept Used :

Newton gave 3 Mathematical Equations to describe the motion of an object with respect to the function of time

Newton Equation of Motion :

\boxed{\sf{v = u + at}}

\boxed{\sf{s = ut + \dfrac{1}{2}at^2}}

\boxed{\sf{v^2 = u^2 + 2as}}

Where the given variable stands for

  • u = Initial Velocity
  • v = Final Velocity
  • a = Acceleration of object
  • t = Time Taken
  • s = Displacement of object

Solution :

We have been Given that

  • Initial Velocity ( u ) = 0 m/s
  • Time Taken = 10 s
  • Final Velocity ( v ) = 72 km / h

Converting all given Quantities in SI unit

\longrightarrow \sf{ v = 72 \: km/h = 72 \times \dfrac{5}{18}}

\longrightarrow \sf{ v = \cancel{72}\times \dfrac{5}{\cancel{18}}}

\longrightarrow \sf{ v = 4 \times 5}

\longrightarrow \sf{ v = 20 \: m/s}

Final Velocity in SI unit is 20 m/s

\\

Using First Equation of Motion :

\longrightarrow \large{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\gray{v = u + at}}}}}

Putting values in above Equation

\longrightarrow \sf{20 = 0 + a \times 10}

\longrightarrow \sf{20 = 10a}

\longrightarrow \sf{a = \dfrac{20}{10}}

\longrightarrow \underline{\boxed{\sf{a = 2 \: m/s}}}

Acceleration of Bike is 2 m/s

\large{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\blue{Acceleration \: of \: Bike = 2 \: m/s}}}}}
