Given:

Weight of the full glass = 1kg

Weight of the half full glass = 3/4kg

To Find:

Weight of the glass

Solution:

Let the weight of glass be = x

and the weight when full be = y

Thus,

x + y = 1 --- eq1

As per second condition -

x + y/2 = 3/4

2x + y = 3/2 --- eq2

Subtracting eq1 from eq2 -

x = 3/2 - 1

= 3-2/2

= 1/2

Answer: Thus, the weight of glass is 1/2kg.
