Let the original no. of goats be x.
No. of goats left = x - (12% of x + 5% of x)
8360 = x - 17% of x
8360 = x{1-(17/100)}
8360 = x{83/100}
8360×100/83 = x
x = 10, 072. 2892
Therefore the approximate no. of goats in the village is 10,000.
Therefore, option (B) 10,000 is correct .
