price. She sold one at a loss of 5% and the
other at a profit of 10%. If the selling price
of both the fans in total was 2,460, what
was the cost price of each fan?

Let cp of each fan be x

Then loss=5%of x

=5/100×x

=x/20

sp of its=x-x/20

=20x-x/20

=19x/20

Now,cp of other fan be x

Then profit =10%of x

=10/100×x

=x/10

sp of its =x+x/10

=10x+x/10

=11x/10

Total sp of both fans =19x/20+11x/10

=19x+22x/20

=41x/20

=>41x=2460×20

=>x=2460×20/41

=>x=60×20

=>x=1200

Thus cp of each fan =R.S.1200
