Hi ,
***************************************
We know the algebraic identity:
x² - y² = ( x + y )( x - y )
*****************************************
Here ,
x = 68 , y = 42
( 68² - 42² )/26²
=[ (68 + 42)(68 - 42)]/26²
= ( 110 × 26 )/( 26 × 26 )
= 110/26
= ( 2 × 55 )/( 2 × 13 )
= 55/13
I hope this helps you.
