6a+3b=6 equation 1
2a+3b = 5 equation 2

subtracting equation 2 from equation 1
(6a+3b) - (2a+3b) = 6-5
6a+3b-2a-3b =1
4a =1
a =1/4

Putting value of a=1/4 in equation 1 we get
(6*1/4) +3b =6
3/2 +3b = 6
(3+6b)/2 = 6/2
3+6b = 6
6b =6-3
b = 3/6
b = 1/3

a=1/4. and. b=2

Step-by-step explanation:

6x+3y=6xy

2x+4y=5xy

.......

6x+3y/xy =6. 2x+4y/xy. =5

6x/xy + 3y/xy =6. 2x/xy +4y/xy = 5

6/y+3/x=6. 2/y +4/x=5

let 1/y=a. 1/x=b.

6a+3b=6--------(1)

2a+4b=5--------(2)

by elimination method

subtract eq(2) from(1)

6a+3b=6

2a+3b=5

(-). (-). (-)

________

4a. =1

a=1/4

putting a=1/4 in eq (1)

6a+3b=6

6(1/4)+3b=6

3/2+3b=6

3+6b/2 = 6/2

6b=6+3

6b=3

b=3/6

b=2

:!!!!!!!! a=1/4

b=2
