Explanation:modern periodic table is based in Atomic number. As both C have same atomic number they get same place

It belongs to 2nd period and 14 group, P block of modern periodic table

Answer: Hello mate, one should know it very clear that modern periodic table or long form of periodic table elements are arranged asper their atomic numbers, so no isotopes are taken in consideration. Hence you can conclude that 6C12 and 6C14 will not get different positions in modern periodic table.

As Carbon is a non metal it is kept in P block with other non metals in Group 14 and period 2nd.
