I/RP= 6×12/6+12=72/18= 4 ohm

Now connect the 4 ohm resistors and 6 ohm resistors in series connection

RS= R1+R2

RS= 4+6=10 ohm

Since we need to find potential difference we have to find current flowing in the connection

v=10 volt, R= 10 ohm

I = V/R

I = 10/10=1A

I is inversely proportional to R

I 12 = 6/12+6= 6/18=1/3

V= RI

V= 12×1/3= 4volt
