The plants grow in two directions; their roots grow and dig deep in the soil as the plant grows upright and upward direction. There are some plants whose roots grow faster and dig deeper than the upright side of the plants.
6. Senses
Plants are organic living beings. They also posses certain senses in which touch and sense are worth mentioning. Plants do respond when they are talked to. They feel happiness and they feel sad. They even die if they are told harsh words.
7. Desert Plants
There are plants in deserts that do not need water or much of it to grow and sustain. These plants are used to of the harsh environments and scorching heat yet they produce oxygen and many other living beings depend on them.

Plants are one of six big groups (kingdoms) of living things.
Plants include familiar types such as trees, herbs, bushes, grasses, vines, ferns, mosses, and green algae.
Most plants grow in the ground, with stems in the air and roots below the surface.
A plant needs sunlight, carbon dioxide, minerals and water to make food by photosynthesis. A green substance in plants called chlorophyll traps the energy from the Sun needed to make food.
Photosynthesis is a process that is taken place by the leaves on the plant. The leaves are the only parts of a plant that can do this process (as they adapted). This is also known as how the plant gets its food.
Plants can be divided into two groups: flowering plants, for example, sunflowers, orchids, and most types of tree. The other group is nonflowering plants, which includes mosses and ferns. All plants make their own food, taking energy from sunlight.
