Most materials used by us in our daily life undergoes some kinds of stress it is therefore important to design things in a way that they continue working under the stresses suffered by them.

Rope of Krain : A krain is used for lifting and moving heavy loads from one place to another has a thick metallic rope to which the load is attached the Rope is pulled by pullies and motors and the requirement diameter of rope is decided by the elastic nature of the rope.
