total resistance (Rt) = sum of resistance in parallel+ sum of resistance in series.
sum of series = Rs 1= 5 ohm + 20ohm= 25ohm
sum of series = Rs 2= 15ohm +10ohm = 25ohm
Parallel sum= 1/RP = 1/ Rs1 + 1/Rs2
1/RP= 1/25+ 1/25
1/RP= 2/25
therefore, RP= 25/2= 12.5 ohm
given,
V= 24V
R= 12.5ohm
thus,
from relation, V= IR
I = V/R => 24/12.5 =1.92A
