 \frac{6x + 1}{2}  =  \frac{7x - 3}{3 - 1}

 \frac{6x + 1}{2}  =  \frac{7x - 3}{2}

2(6x + 1) = 2(7x - 3) \\ 12x + 2 = 14x - 6 \\ 14x - 12x = 2 + 6 \\ 2x = 8 \\ x =  \frac{8}{2}  \\ x = 4
