Answer :

  • 6x² + 17x + 12 = (2x + 3) (3x + 4)

Given :

  • 6x² + 17x + 12

To find :

  • Factor

Solution :

》6x² + 17x + 12

》6x² + 8x + 9x + 12

》2x(3x + 4) + 3(3x + 4)

》(2x + 3) (3x + 4)

Hence, 6x² + 17x + 12 = (2x + 3) (3x + 4)

Or

Explanation :

Given that, co - effiecent of x² is 6 and constant is 12 Now we have to find this two co-effiecent of product = 6 × 12 = 72 and middle term co-effiecent is 17

And Given that factor 72 so we have to sum of these factors is 17 then, 8 × 9 = 72 and 8 + 9 = 17

》6x² + 17x + 12

》6x² + 8x + 9x + 12

》2x(3x + 4) + 3(3x + 4)

》(2x + 3) (3x + 4)
