Answer:

6x - 2y = 10 -(i)

3x + y = 5 -(ii)

multiplying (ii) by 2

6x + 2y = 10 -(iii)

by solving i and iii

6x -2y = 10

6x +2y =10

12x =20 (2y-2y = 0)

x = 20

12

x = 5

3

putting the value of x in (ii)

3x + y = 5

3(5) +y = 5 (3 =0)

3 3

5 + y = 5

y= 5-5

y=0
