Answer:

x = 74/39  , y = 6/13

Step-by-step explanation:

I THINK YOUR QUESTION IS WRONG, STILL  THE ANSWER FOR YOUR GIVEN QUESTION IS,

6x - 3y = -10 ----(i)

3x + 5y = 8 ---- (ii)

Multiplying eq-(ii) with 2  (to equate the coefficients of x)

now change the signs and subtract!

6x - 3y = -10

6x + 10y = 16

(-)  (-)         (-)

you will get 13y = 6

                    y = 6/13

now substitute y in any one of those equations

I am substituting with eq (ii)

3x + 5y = 8

3x + 5 x (6/13) = 8

3x + 30/13 = 8

3x = 8 - 30/13

3x = 104-30/13 ==> 74/13

therefore, x = 74/13/3

                   = 74/13 x 1/3

                   = 74/39

so your x is 74/39 and y is 6/13
