Explanation:

Given:

6x + 3y = 8 ------(1)

15x - 7y = 10 ------(2)

taking equation (1)

6x + 3y = 8

3y = 8 - 6x

y = (8 - 6x)/3 ------(3)

taking equation (2)

15x - 7y = 10

-7y = 10 - 15x

y = (10 - 15x)/(-7)

y = (15x - 10)/7 ------(4)

from equations (3) & (4)

(8 - 6x)/3 = (15x - 10)/7

7(8 - 6x) = 3(15x - 10)

56 - 42x = 45x - 30

45x + 42x = 56 + 30

87x = 86

x = 86 /87

putting the value of x in eq (3)

y = (8 - 6(86/87))/3
