6x+5y=7

7x+5y=8 (×-)

6x+5y=7

-7x-5y=-8

add

-x= -1

x=1

6x+5y=7

6×1 +5y=7

5y=7 -6

5y= 1

y=1/5

x=1, y= 1/5
