if the eq. is 6x^2 + 7x - 3 = 0
then
6x^2 + 9x - 2x - 3 = 0
3x ( 2x + 3 ) -1 ( 2x + 3) = 0
(2x + 3) , ( 3x - 1 ) = 0
x = -3/2 , x = 1/3

6x² + 7x - 3 = 0,

I am writing 7x as 9x - 2x,

Now it will look like,
6x² + 9x - 2x -3 = 0 [Taking 3x common in first two terms and -1 in last two terms ]

=> 3x(2x+3)-1(2x+3) [ Taking 2x+3 common]
=> (2x+3)(3x-1) = 0
=> x = -3/2 or 1/3,

But as it is a Quadratic , Both are zero's of polynomial,

Also the shortest method to solve this is Apply this formula,
  \frac{ - b  \:  +  -  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}
Hope you understand,

Have a great day !!
