6x + 8y = -15

let y =0, solve for x

6x + 8(0)= -15

6x + 0 = -15

Divide each term in ( 6x = -15) by 6

6x/6  =  -15/6

x        =   -5/2

Now , let x = 0 , solve for y

6(0) + 8y = -15

0 + 8y     = -15

Divide each term in ( 8y = -15) by 8

8y/8  =  -15/8

y       =   -15/8

hence, possible value of x and y for 6x + 8y = -15 are :

x = (-5/2 , 0)

y = (-15/8 ,0)

hope this is helpful !
