6x^2+17x+5=0
=)6x^2+15x+2x+5=0
=)3x(2x+5) +1(2x+5)=0
=)(3x+1)(2x+5)=0

x= -1/3 or -5/2

 {17}^{2} - 4 \times 6 \times 5 = 169

now,

x = \frac{ - b( - + ) { \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } } }{2a}

x = \frac{ - 17 ( + - ) \sqrt{169} }{2 \times 6}

x = \frac{ - 17 + 13}{12} ... \frac{ - 17 - 13}{12}

x = \frac{ - 4}{12} .. \frac{ - 30}{12}

x = \frac{ - 1}{3} .. \frac{ - 15}{6}
