Solution:

Given expression,

= 6x² + 5x - 6

By splitting the middle term, we get,

= 6x² + 9x - 4x - 6 [6 × -6 = -36 and 9 × -4 = -36]

Taking 3x as common,

= 3x(2x + 3) - 4x - 6

Taking -2 as common,

= 3x(2x + 3) - 2(2x + 3)

Taking 2x + 3 as common,

= (3x - 2)(2x + 3) which is our required answer.

Answer:

  • Factorised form - (3x - 2)(2x + 3)
