To Solve:

  • 6x² - 7x -3 then find a² + b²

Solⁿ:

  • Factorize the eqⁿ

6x² - 7x -3 = 0

6x² -9x +2x -3 = 0

3x (2x - 3) +1(2x - 3) = 0

(2x - 3) ( 3x +1) = 0

Zeroes are: x = 3/2, x = -1/3

_____________

Find a² + b²

Taking 3/2 as "a" and -1/3 as "b"

( { \frac{3}{2} )}^{2} + ({ \frac{ - 1}{3} )}^{2} \\ \\ \frac{9}{4} + \frac{1}{9} \\ \\ \frac{81 + 4}{36} = { \pink{\frac{85}{36}}}\\ \\
