Given :  6y²   = 3x²  - 15

To Find : given Equation is an example of a

a. Circle

b. parabola

c. ellipse

d. hyperbola

Solution:

6y²   = 3x²  - 15

=> 3x²  - 6y² = 15

=> 3x²/15  - 6y²/15 = 1

=> x²/3  - y² /(5/2)  = 1

=> x²/(√3)² - y²/(√(5/2))² = 1

x²/a² - y²/b² = 1

Equation of Hyperbola

Hence 6y²   = 3x²  - 15   is an example of a hyperbola

option d is correct
