Using Cross Multiplication Method:-

(6y - 7) × 3 = 1 × (3y - 9)

18y - 21 = 3y - 9

18y -3y = -9 + 21

15y = 12

y = 12 / 15 = 4/5

Given :

The given equation is :

(6y-7)/(3y-9) = 1/3

To find : The solution for the given equation.

Solution :

We can easily solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Here, we will be using normal algebraic method. (the obtained value of y will be considered as the solution of the given equation.)

So,

(6y-7)/(3y-9) = 1/3

3 × (6y-7) = (3y-9) × 1

18y - 21 = 3y - 9

18y - 3y = 21 - 9

15y = 12

y = 12/15

y = 4/5

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, the solution of the given equation is, y = 4/5
