 \large \tt AHOY!! \:

given :- 6y² + 9y - 6

we can solve this by splitting method.

= 6y² + (12y - 3y) - 6

= 6y² + 12y - 3y - 6

= 6y(y + 2) - 3(y + 2)

= (y + 2) (6y - 2)

now if u want the value of y, then u can solve it further too..

=> y + 2 = 0
=> y = 2

=> 6y - 2 = 0
=> 6y = 2
=> y = 2/6 = 1/3

therefore y = 2 or y = 1/3

 \large \tt HOPE  \: THIS \:  HELPS!!

= 6y(y + 2) - 3(y + 2)

= (y + 2) (6y - 2)

Hope it will help you
