Factorise the sum:-

$- 3 {x}^{2} + 10x + 7$

$- (3 {x}^{2} - 10x - 7) = 0$

$3 {x}^{2} - 10x - 7 = 0$

$3 {x}^{2} - 7x - 3x - 7 = 0$

$3 {x}^{2} - 3x - 7x - 7 = 0$

$3x(x - 1) + 7(x - 1)$

$(3x + 7)(x - 1)$

$x = \frac{7}{3} \: and \: x = 1$
