Answer: First, check the denominators. They are different, so take their LCM and find the equivalent fraction of the two and then subtract.

Multiples of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20...

                    12: 12, 24, 48....

LCM = 12

3/4 x 3/3 = 9/12

 7/12 - 9/12 = -2/12

SIMPLIFIED answer = -1/6

Given,

\frac{7}{12}-\frac{3}{4}

We have to find the value of given expression

We will take LCM of denominators

After that write numerators over the denominator

LCM of 12,4 =12

= \frac{7}{12}-\frac{3}{4}

= \frac{7-3\times3}{12}

= \frac{7-9}{12}

=\frac{-2}{12}

= -\frac{1}{6}

Therefore, the answer is -\frac{1}{6}.
