 Given \: simple \: equation \: 7 = 2(p-2)

/* Dividing bothsides by 2 , we get */

 \implies \frac{7}{2} = \frac{2}{2}(p-2)

 \implies \frac{7}{2} = p-2

/* Add bothsides by 2 , we get */

 \implies \frac{7}{2} + 2 = p-2+2

 \implies \frac{7+4}{2} = p

 \implies \frac{11}{2} = p

Therefore.,

P = 11/2 .

Solution :-

  • Given that, 7 = 2(P - 2)

=> 7 = 2(P - 2)

=> 7 = 2P - 4

=> -2P = -4 - 7

=> -2P = -11

=> 2P = 11

=> P = 11/2

  • Alternative Form , P = 5.5

Verification :-

=> 7 = 2(P - 2)

=> 7 = 2( 11/2 - 2) (°•° P = 11/2 )

=> 7 = 2( 11 - 4/2)

=> 7 = 2(7/2)

=> 7 = 7

Hence verified!!
