Answer:

Hey there,

We know that,

Mean = sum of observation / no of observation

28 = (a + b + c + d + e)/5

a + b + c + d + e = 140 ........(1)

24 = (a + c + e)/3

a + c + e = 72 .........(2)

Subtracting eq(2) from eq(1),

eq(2) - eq(1) = 68

b + d = 68

Dividing both sides by 2,

(b + d)/2 = 34

Hence, mean = 34

Hope it helps you

Answer:34is answer option D

Step-by-step explanation:

ATQ

a+b+c+d+e/5=28

Then a+b+c+d+e = 140. ....eq1

mean if a,c,e=24

Then a+c+e/3=24

a+c+e=72

Put a+c+e=72 I eq-1

Then b+d+72=140

b+d=68 their mean = 68/2=34
