GIVEN :-

 \implies \bf  \dfrac{7 + 4}{y + 2}  =    - \dfrac{4}{3}

TO FIND :-

 \implies \bf \: the \: value \: of \: y

SOLUTION :-

 \implies \bf  \dfrac{7 + 4}{y + 2}  =    - \dfrac{4}{3}

By cross multiplication we get,

 \implies \bf \:  - 4(y + 2) = 3(7 + 4) \\  \\  \implies \bf \:  - 4y  - 8 = 21 + 12 \\  \\  \implies \bf - 4y  - 8 =  33 \\  \\  \implies \bf - 4y = 33 + 8 \\  \\  \implies \bf - 4y = 41 \\ \\ \implies \boxed{ \red{ \bf \: y = \dfrac{ - 41}{4}  }}

Hence the value of y is -41/4

VERIFICATION :-

 \implies \red{ \bf \: L.H.S} \:  =  \bf \dfrac{7 + 4}{y + 2}  \\  \\  \implies \bf  \bigg \{\dfrac{7 +4 }{ \frac{ - 41}{4}  + 2}  \bigg \} \\  \\  \implies \bf \:   \bigg \{\dfrac{11}{ \dfrac{ - 41 + 8}{4} }  \bigg \} \\  \\  \implies \bf \bigg \{ \dfrac{11}{ \dfrac{ - 33}{4} }  \bigg \} \\  \\  \implies \bf 11 \times  \dfrac{ - 4}{33}  \\  \\  \implies  \red{\bf \dfrac{ - 4}{3} }

 \red{ \bf \: L.H.S \:  = R.H.S} \\  \\  \implies \boxed{ \red{ \bf \:HENCE  \:  \: VERIFIED  }}
