A rational number can be written in p/q form

7.484848 = 7484848/1000000 

It can be written in p/q form.  So it is rational

Rational numbers are those numbers which can be written in the form of p/q where q is not equal to zero..... 7.484848 can be written as 7484848/1000000 and the denominator is also not equal to zero...... Therefore it is a rational.number.
