rationalising √7+√5 / √7-√5 multiplying denominator and numerator by √7-√5
√7+√5 / √7-√5 = 7+5+2√35 / 7-5 = 12+2√35 / 2 = 2(6+√35)/2 = 6+√35

rationalising √7-√5 / √7+√5 multiplying denominator and numerator by √7+√5
√7-√5 / √7+√5 = 7+5-2√35 / 7-5 = 12-2√35 / 2 = 2(6-√35)/2 = 6-√35

now, (6+√35)+(6-√35) = 12
