u=0m/s(at rest)
v=4 m/s
s=10 m
a=?
2as=v^2-u^2
2a(10)= (4)^2-(0)^2
20a=16
a=16/20
a=4/5
a=4.25 m/s^2

To Find:-

  • Find the acceleration of the car.

Given:-

  • A car travels a distance of 10m .
  • It starts from rest and gains a velocity of 4 m/s.

Solution:-

As we know that:-

\tt\implies \: { v }^{ 2 } - { u }^{ 2 } = 2as

Substituting Values:-

\tt\implies \: { 4 }^{ 2 } - { 0 }^{ 2 } = 2( a )( 10 )

\tt\implies \: 16  = 20a

\tt\implies \: a = \cancel\dfrac { 16 } { 20 }

\tt\implies \: a = \dfrac { 4 } { 5 }

\tt\implies \: a = 0.8 \: m/ { s }^{ 2 }
