ill. How long will A take to complete the rest of the job?

B alone can do work in 8 days .

so ,

one day work of A = 1/6

one day work of B = 1/8

Consider according to condition A and B start working together but work for 2 days .

so,

= 1/6 +1/8

=7/24 is the one day work done by A and B

then

= (7/24 ) *2

= 7/12

is the total work done by A and B.

consider task as 1 and 2 day work done be 7/12

so ,

remaining work = 1 - (7/12)

= 5/12

so remaining work is done by A then

= 6 * (5/12)

= 2.5 days
