\bigstar Question :

\longmapsto A car consumes 25 litre of petrol in covering a distance of 1200 km. How much petrol will be needed to cover a distance of 3300 km ?

\bigstar To Find :

\longmapsto How much petrol will be needed to cover a distance of 3300 km?

\bigstar Given :

\longmapsto 25 litre = 1200 km

\bigstar Solution :

\longmapsto 25 litre of petrol = 1200 km

\longmapsto 1 litre of petrol = \frac{1200}{25}

\longmapsto 1 litre of petrol = 48 km

\longmapsto litre of petrol for 3300 km = \frac{3300}{48}

\longmapsto litre of petrol for 3300 km = 68.75 litre

Let's verify that,

\longmapsto 25 litre = 48 × 25 = 1200 km

\longmapsto 68.75 litre = 48 × 68.75 = 3300 km

∴ To cover a distance of 3300 km is 68.75 litre.
